The Xbox Series S is small and light, which makes its HDMI port easy to knock: a nudge to the plugged-in cable can bend the pins inside or crack the HDMI port's solder joints. The result is a console that powers on but never shows the boot screen, leaving the TV on "No Signal". This service replaces the HDMI port and gets your Series S on screen again.

About this repair
If your Xbox Series S powers on but the TV shows a black screen or "No Signal", the HDMI port on the mainboard is the usual cause. We replace the damaged port with a new one and test the picture on a display for £69.99. Typical repair time is 2-3 hours once it is on our bench. The repair is covered by our 12-month repair warranty.

What causes it
- The HDMI cable being knocked or pulled while it is plugged in, which bends the pins or lifts the port's solder joints

How do I know it is the HDMI port and not my TV or cable?
Try another HDMI cable and another input or TV first. If your Xbox Series S still shows "No Signal" while the power light is on, and especially if the pins in the socket look bent or pushed in, the port is the most likely fault.
Can a damaged HDMI port be fixed without replacing it?
Not reliably. Once the pins are bent or the solder joints have lifted, the dependable fix is a new port soldered to the board, which is what this service is.
What if the fault is not the port?
We diagnose every console before we start. If the port is not the cause we tell you what is and what it would cost before doing anything else, and you decide whether to go ahead.
How long will the repair take?
We aim to complete repairs as safely and as soon as possible, however note it can take up to 3-5 days or longer depending on parts availability. When we're busy, a repair or upgrade can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that and keep you updated.
How do I send my console in?
As soon as you have completed your order we will send you a confirmation email. In the UK that includes your prepaid tracked label (if you chose one at checkout) - a QR code to use at your local Post Office. Outside the UK we send our workshop address and shipping instructions so you can post your console in. Once repaired, we ship it back to you tracked at no charge - UK and international.
Is there a warranty?
We offer a 12 month warranty on all repairs carried out at OG Repairs.

Do you send proof of the repair?
Yes - we send photos and a before/after video showing the fault fixed, so you can be confident in the work before your device is even back in your hands.
Can I drop it off in person?
Yes - book a drop-off at our London workshop (Unit 9, Hatcham Road, London, SE15 1TR); visits are by appointment. Console repairs are a UK-only service, so mail-in is available from anywhere in the UK.
