A damaged HDMI port is one of the most common reasons a PS5 powers on but shows nothing on the TV. If the fan spins and the light turns white but you get a black screen or "No Signal", the HDMI port on the mainboard is the usual cause, most often after a knock to the plugged-in cable or wear that cracks the HDMI port's solder joints. This service replaces the HDMI port and gets your PS5 back to a clean 4K picture. Disc and Digital Edition consoles are the same price.

We diagnose it first. Behind the HDMI port sits the HDMI encoder chip, and from the outside a failed chip looks the same as a failed HDMI port. If it's the HDMI port, we remove it from the mainboard, check the pads and tracks underneath and repair any that have lifted, solder in a new HDMI port, and test the picture across resolutions up to 4K before it goes back. About this repair
If your PS5 powers on but the TV shows a black screen or "No Signal", the HDMI port on the mainboard is the usual cause. We replace the damaged port with a new one and test the picture on a display for £74.99. Typical repair time is 2-3 hours once it is on our bench. The repair is covered by our 12-month repair warranty.

How do I know it is the HDMI port and not my TV or cable?
Try another HDMI cable and another input or TV first. If your PS5 still shows "No Signal" while the power light is on, and especially if the pins in the socket look bent or pushed in, the port is the most likely fault.
Can a damaged HDMI port be fixed without replacing it?
Not reliably. Once the pins are bent or the solder joints have lifted, the dependable fix is a new port soldered to the board, which is what this service is.
What if the fault is not the port?
We diagnose every console before we start. If the port is not the cause we tell you what is and what it would cost before doing anything else, and you decide whether to go ahead.
How long will the repair take?
We aim to complete repairs as safely and as soon as possible, however note it can take up to 3-5 days or longer depending on parts availability. When we're busy, a repair or upgrade can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that and keep you updated.
How do I send my console in?
As soon as you have completed your order we will send you a confirmation email. In the UK that includes your prepaid tracked label (if you chose one at checkout) - a QR code to use at your local Post Office. Outside the UK we send our workshop address and shipping instructions so you can post your console in. Once repaired, we ship it back to you tracked at no charge - UK and international.

Yes - we send photos and a before/after video showing the fault fixed, so you can be confident in the work before your device is even back in your hands.

Yes - book a drop-off at our London workshop (Unit 9, Hatcham Road, London, SE15 1TR); visits are by appointment. Console repairs are a UK-only service, so mail-in is available from anywhere in the UK.
